The Indianapolis FEA is a voluntary organization, which exists to:

  • Bring together management personnel of the Federal agencies in the furtherance of mutual understanding, informal relationships and the resolution of interagency problems.
  • Promote economy, efficiency and improved administration as a result of the collection, compilation and exchange of information and experience, and of cooperative administrative support projects.
  • Facilitate working relationships between the Federal agencies and the State and local governments, commerce and industry.
  • Achieve greater appreciation, on the part of the public, of the history and objectives of the Federal Merit System, through civic projects and the use of mass information media.
  • From time to time, direct its cooperative activity to specific projects of current interest; for example, we sponsor the Combined Federal Campaign.

What We Do

The Indianapolis FEA holds monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of most months. At those meetings we share information and hear from speakers from the community.

We also have numerous standing committees with a wide variety of duties. Some examples include:

  • The EEO Committee develops and implements activities in support of equal employment opportunities.

  • The Federal Women's Program committee conducts an annual career development-training seminar, which is open to the entire federal workforce within Indiana.

  • The Black Emphasis Program and Hispanic Employment Program committees coordinate, plan and implement numerous activities, which address issues and employment matters.

  • The Community Partnership Committee coordinates, plans and implements programs, which address volunteerism.

  • The Federal Employee of the Year Committee focuses public attention on federal employees and military personnel in Indiana. They hold an annual awards program, which recognizes the Federal Employees of the Year.

We Look Forward To Working With You.
